When Is a Business Website Worth the Investment?

Čítať po slovensky

A useful business website should help visitors take action, not simply look attractive.

Start with a goal, not an animation

A restaurant may need easy reservations and an up-to-date menu. A salon needs clear services, pricing and appointment information. A training business should explain its programmes, audience and booking process. Each website may look different, but its purpose should be obvious.

What should you measure?

Track relevant enquiries, completed forms, calls and bookings. Traffic alone is not enough. When visitors arrive but do not contact you, the offer, trust signals, navigation or relevance of the content may need improvement.

A simple return-on-investment example

If a website costs €600 and each additional project contributes €100 after direct costs, six such projects would cover the initial investment. This simplified illustration excludes recurring expenses and the time value of money.

Maintenance is part of the investment

Keep content, images, contact details and security up to date. A broken form or outdated price list can reduce trust instead of building it.
